Organization Profile
About Us
DU'A FOR PEACE AND HARMONY INITIATIVE (DPAHI) is a registered non-profit, non-political organization in Nigeria dedicated to fostering national unity, spiritual growth, and community harmony through Islamic principles and practice. Headquartered in Abuja, DPAHI operates nationwide with objectives centered on promoting peace through prayer sessions, Qur'anic recitation, advocacy, and humanitarian efforts. The organization collaborates with religious institutions, government agencies, and international partners to address societal challenges, support conflict resolution, and provide aid to vulnerable communities.
DPAHI's governance structure includes a National Executive Committee (NEC) overseeing operations, a National Council of Advisors (NCA) providing strategic guidance, and state-level committees ensuring localized implementation. Membership is open to individuals and organizations committed to its goals, with categories ranging from participatory to honorary members. The General Assembly serves as the supreme decision-making body, approving budgets, policies, and constitutional amendments. Financial management is transparent, with income derived from donations, grants, and membership levies, all subject to annual audits.
The organization emphasizes accountability and ethical conduct, with a strict code of conduct for members and leaders. Disciplinary measures address misconduct, while provisions for amendment and dissolution ensure adaptability and legal compliance. DPAHI's activities are rooted in Islamic traditions but promote interfaith tolerance and national cohesion. By leveraging spiritual and practical approaches, DPAHI aims to create a peaceful and harmonious society in Nigeria and beyond.
In summary, DPAHI stands as a faith-based initiative with a clear mission, structured governance, and a commitment to transparency. Its focus on prayer, education, and community engagement positions it as a key player in fostering unity and addressing societal challenges through divine and collaborative solutions.
